Title: Sleepover + “Happy Deepavali 2011”
Time: Wednesday, October 26, 2011
After persuaded several times, finally made up my mind to overnight at Adelyne’s house for a night before “Deepavali” celebration. Went to bed at 12 midnight but our(me + A) eyes are unable to shut. So, we dragged along Regina to watched “Beauty & the Beast” till 1 smtg. However, still manage to wake up earlier than I expected for once before the alarm rings. 1st house visit of the day - Dalveen’s house
 |
Credits to Dalveen's bro :)
Haha…went to Dalveen’s hse for Deepavali breakfast. Snapped pictures while her mother was busy preparing food for us. Imagine 6 of us sat of her single bed to snap pics but “Prack!” we just ignored that and continued to sit in our best pose, 2nd “prAcK’, guess what? LOL! We actually broke her bed< Forget about that, now to the main point of my blog post. It’s about FOOD!!!!! First of all, her mother’s cooking was very mouth- watering! Homemade Thosai, Chapphati & smtg starts from P…. (can’t rmb the name exactly but it contains flour & ghee.) which was my fav! , we ate those with Mutton curry as well as “dhail”. All of us can’t stop eating though we are ald kinda full. We actually refilled 6 rounds for both curry. In total, we 7 person actually ate 12 bowls of curry. I ate 3+ pieces instead of 1 piece for my very 1st time in life & I guess I’m not gonna find such taste food outside. It was FINGER LICKIN GOOD!!!! After finishing our meal, we watched a Hindi movie which was kinda funny before moving on to Tharani’s hse.
Walked under the hot sun to the nearby bus stop. … 2nd house of the day - Tharani’s house

The journey from Dalveen's house to Tharani’s house doesn’t took us too long as their house are quite near to each other plus Rapid bus was quite punctual today. Felt so refreshing after going up the air-cond bus which was quite empty today unlike during school days which we are like sardines in the tin. Finally, we reached our second destiny of the day. THARANI’s house! Lunch has not arrive yet. So, we did the usual thing again. SNAP PHOTOS again. Besides, we also helped ourselves with all those Deepavali cookies. Lunch has not been on time, the host, Tharani was kinda tensed up but we actually enjoyed creating havoc in her air-cond cozy dim light room. More and more guesses were coming in and of course the host has became busier to handle them. Servings Muruku’s…… Honestly speaking, Tharani was a very good host who made sure we had enough food and things to do in order to keep ourselves entertain. Finally, lunch were here! Hmm…the fragrance of the yummy curry made us can’t wait to taste. Mutton curry, curry chicken, curry prawns, tomato rice & Tharani’s father’s home made salad were served. As usual, all of us self-serviced again. We actually used our hands to eat for today. Those food were delicious especially the curry prawns and home made salad, so all of us went for second round. Back to the room after lunch, waited impatiently for Tharani’s godsis to drew "inai"for us :) |
